How do I... Make An Appointment?
We operate a strict appointment system.
You can book appointments at reception or over the phone (0161 224 2452) to see any of the clinicians at the practice.
Routine Appointments
You can book routine appointments up to two weeks in advance unless otherwise stipulated by the doctor.
Emergency Appointments
Emergency appointments are for situations that cannot wait: not for coughs or colds.
You must ring before 10.00am.
Explain fully to the receptionist the nature of your emergency so that she is able to accommodate you accordingly.
We will see all real emergencies on the same day.
In some cases, you may be asked for your contact number details for the GP to call you back.
Please use this service responsibly.
Extended Hours
This surgery operates an extended hours surgery once a week (every Tuesday between 6.30 – 8.00pm).
This is a pre-booked appointment surgery for those patients who are working during normal surgery hours.
This surgery is not for emergencies.
How do I... Obtain Telephone Advice?
We offer telephone consultations each day for those who are unable to attend the surgery but do not need a home visit.
You need to ring the surgery to request a telephone consultation before mid-day.
How do I... Obtain A Home Visit?
If you are too sick to attend the surgery or you are housebound, you may request a home visit by telephoning the surgery before 10.00am on the day that you require the visit.
You are obliged to give the receptionist as much information as possible so that she may help you effectively.How do I... Obtain Test Results?
It is not always necessary for you to see the doctor for your results. You can telephone the surgery after 2.00pm during normal working hours to request a result.
In some cases it may not be possible to give the result over the phone in which case you may be asked to make an appointment so that the results can be explained accordingly.
How do I... Obtain Transport Requests?
The surgery is able in some cases to arrange transport for patients to attend their first hospital visit. The hospital will need to arrange the transport for any subsequent visit or follow up.
We will need at least five working days' notice before an appointment to make the arrangements. |
