Wilmslow Road Medical Centre aims to provide patients with high quality personal health care and to seek continuous improvement in the health status of the whole practice population.
We aim to achieve this by developing and maintaining a cohesive team-based approach which is responsive to people’s needs and expectations and reflects, wherever possible, the latest advances in primary care.

Signs of a heart attack – Pain like a very tight band, heavy weight or squeezing in the centre of your chest
Signs of a stroke – Face drooping on one side, can’t hold both arms up, difficulty speaking
Severe difficulty breathing – Gasping, not being able to get words out, choking or lips turning blue
Heavy bleeding that won’t stop
Severe injuries or deep cuts after a serious accident
Seizure (fit) – Someone is shaking or jerking because of a fit, or is unconscious (can’t be woken up)

As of April 2025, every NHS trust in the country became officially ‘Veteran Aware’, a status which means they have been recognised for demonstrating their understanding of military healthcare needs. The 3-year training programme will build on this success and will be rolled out from October 2025 across England.
